<P>El encuentro de los ingenieros de todo el mundo en
Argentina se aproxima y por ello es necesario reafirmar
los objetivos que la Federación Mundial de
Organizaciones de Ingenieros se propuso al auspiciar
este evento.</P>
<P>Me refiero a la necesidad de elaborar políticas de
Ingeniería que tengan como meta un auténtico Desarrollo
Sostenible y al servicio de la humanidad toda.</P>
<P>La Presidente de FMOI, María Jesús Prieto Lafargue,
en su reciente visita, puntualizó la necesidad de
concluir el evento con recomendaciones a los gobiernos
para solucionar los temas que traban la concreción de
las metas fijadas.</P>
<P>Para ello, se está negociando un acuerdo con la
Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo
Económico, OCDE, para que las organizaciones de
ingenieros sean consultadas en el tratamiento de estos
temas.</P>
